Hi I hit a deer a few days ago and I received a check today for the damages but the check is made out to me and my bodyshop. My question is, can I cash this check myself or request another check that's just made out to me? No repairs have been made yet and I still owe money on the car so there is a lien holder. I plan to use the money to repair the car but I want to buy my own parts (aftermarket) and do my own repairs. I know for sure I can repair the car and with the parts I have chosen I will have a decent amout of money left over that I would like to pay my bills with. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I went outside to get in my car, and found that someone hit my drivers side door. A lady came out and told me she saw it happen, but couldn't get any info on the vehicle other than that it belonged to a neighbor's friend. Well I got the girls name and phone # from the neighbor, but they didn't think she has car insurance. Should I even bother calling the girl or should I call the cops and file a hit and run police report? I should note that this girl hit my car about a month ago. Do you need proof of insurance to obtain a Florida Intermediate Restricted Driver License?

I live in Tennessee and moving down to Florida in early August and in Tennessee at age 16 you can get a license called Intermediate Restricted Driver License which just has more restrictions then a 17 year old and less restrictions then a 15 year old/permit. I'm not sure if Florida has these type of licenses but at the age of 16 with a Tennessee Intermediate Restricted License, to get a Florida license, must you show proof of insurance before you get your Florida license? The reason why i'm asking this is because obviously in Tennessee you do not need proof of insurance to get a Driver License. Thanks Guys!

I was involved in a traffic collision where I was rear ended by another vehicle. Police report was filed, the information was traded. I filed a claim with their insurance and mine and have not herd anything from the other party. Everyday I contacted their insurance and they still cant get a hold of him. My car insurance is due to run out on the 28th of this month, i have looked at quotes and have found a really good one expect it expires in the 21st, is it possible to set this car insurance up to start on the 21st even though my policy hasn't expired yet.
